The surfing school was founded in 1996 with the aim of creating a connection between the two most significant sports of the so-called "free-riding" movement: snowboard e surf.

Our staff is member of the international Snowboard and Skateboard scenes and belong to the growing north coast Lanzarote. A community where, due to its highly friendly attitude, you will get along well to all those people who want to start practicing surf.
Water temperature between 19-23 °C and air temperature between 20-28 °C allow attending the CALIMASURF SCHOOL during the whole year. Even if in summertime is without any doubt more pleasant.

The opening of new CALIMA SURF CAMPS turned CALIMA SCHOOL into an internationally known forming camp in the same way of the best world rivals
CALIMA SURF SCHOOL places four teachers at your disposal that will coach you during your trainings apart of your level: basic, intermediate, advanced or pro.
What will you get at the end of the course? Basic knowledge from the surf practicing of the various rips, different kind of waves, winds, tides as well as basic notions about security
You will also learn basic techniques that will allow you to: row properly, stand up, keep your balance, catch the wave, control your speed and turn right or left…
to sum up you will get a solid formation that will allow you to enjoy safely of the most charming sport.
1 DAY SURF LESSONS:
Basic course or improvement for intermediate surfers.
Schedule:
- 09:00h: Meeting at the Hotel.
- 09:50h: Arrive at Calima Surf School.
- 10:00h: Starting activity: stretching exercises, introducing exercises and then… in the water for theory and practice!.
- 12:45 - 13.30h: Pic-nic lunch.
- 13:30h: Back in the water. Surf sessions under supervision of our teachers lifeguard licensed.
- 15.00h: Back to the Hotel.
Including:
- Trasport to/from Hotel/Calima surf (Costa Teguise y Puerto de Carmen - min. 2 persons).
- Picnic (warm sandwiches, fruit juices,water…)
- Insurance.
- Equipment.
APPROACHING SURF COURSE: :
for beginners and intermediate surfers(5 days /25h).
Schedule:
- 09:00h: meeting at the Hotel.
- 09:50h: arrive at Calima Surf School.
- 10:00h: starting activity: stretching exercises, introducing exercises… in the water for theory and practice.
- 12:45 - 13.30h: Pic-nic lunch.
- 13:30h: Back in the water. Surf sessions under supervision of our teachers lifeguard licensed.
- 15.00h: Back to the Hotel.
Including:
- Trasport to/from Hotel/Calima surf (Costa Teguise and Puerto de Carmen - min. 2 persons).
