INTERMEDIATE - ADVANCED
KITESURF COURSE (school open all year).
CALIMA KITE SURF organizes classes with different levels: beginners, intermediates and expert.
Located in the beautiful “Caleta de Famara” Natural Park, with its 6 km of seaside, the kitesurf classes organized by CALIMA combine sport and holidays in the crystal-clear water of Lanzarote.
Practicing Kitesurf doesn't require particular physical skills, our IKO method will teach you quickly this exciting activity which combines the best of surf, windsurf e waveboard.
will learn the following concepts easily and with fun:
- Security and prevention.
- theory and practice of flying techniques.
- Water security and prevention.
- Re-starting: how to raise the kite from the water.
- moving: relation between the power of the kite and the way it influences your movements.
- fundamentals: balance, position, movements speed on the board and with the kite.
CALIMA KITE SURF provides a first class equipment: kites Cabrinha, Takoon and latest Sefon boards (helmets, radio control, handle, harness,wetsuits), aqua scooter and ZODIAC rubber dingy.
Our school is an official FKI centre, with 3rd level IKO instructors, english, italian and spanish speaking.
SATISFACTION WARRANT: if the wind conditions aren't good during your stay and you don't want to practice any other of the activities proposed by CALIMA(surf, windsurf, diving, trekking) we promise to give you all of your money for the time of the lessons hours back.
In two days you'll get the basic knowledge to start practicing this amazing sport: security, kite control inside and outside the water and first of all the most important technique for practicing kitesurf: bodydrag.
What is bodydrag? It's a technique that allows you to raise yourself by the water level just with the power of the kite and without using the board. This will teach you to know and control moving speed and it's an important warranty that allows you to come back to the beach even in case of losing the board trying one trick.

At the end of the course costumers will know how to assembly and disassembly the kite, and will have done the first practicing with the board and sailing.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL: IMPROVEMENT AND TECHNICAL BASIS
CALIMA organizes a daily pick up of the costumers from the hotels of Costa Teguise, Puerto del Carmen, puerto Calero and Arrecife, for a minimum of 2, you will be able besides to rent the equipment for your own use after successfully passing the basic level course.The intermediate level course is referred to whoever has already the basis of this sport and wants to improve his skills.
3 fundamental requirements for the intermediate level: being able to raise the kite from the water, be practical with exercises out of water, control bodydrag technique and first of all control the kite.
Objective: sailing the 3 ways and realizing first tricks.
INCLUDES: :

Referred to everyone who already control sailing, own equipment and can realize their own water-start.
Advanced level contents are developed on various technical aspects: these are the fundamentals:
- Body position.
- Complete control of the kite and moving technique both leeward or with a head wind.
- Board control, and techniques to speed on and brake with it.
- Harmonious direction change without loss of power and first jumps.
Main aim of the course depends on the ability of the costumer of improving his technique.

ADVANCED LEVEL KITE COURSE INCLUDES:

- Qualified instructors.
- Personal training techniques depending on the customers level and goals.
